Dartmouth’s shops, restaurants, and harbourside charm are just a short stroll away — but that’s only the beginning.

The town is home to some of South Devon’s finest restaurants, from relaxed waterfront cafés to acclaimed dining rooms serving the freshest local seafood. Whether it’s a leisurely lunch overlooking the river or an evening meal with harbour views, Dartmouth delivers.

And throughout the year, the town comes alive with events that draw visitors from across the country. The Dartmouth Music Festival in May fills the streets with live performances. October brings the celebrated Dartmouth Food Festival — a foodie’s paradise. And in August, the hugely popular Dartmouth Regatta transforms the harbour into a spectacle of boat races, fireworks, and festivities.

Beyond town, hop on the ferry to Kingswear for easy access to Brixham and Torquay. The coastal towns of Salcombe and Kingsbridge are a short drive, and the wild, dramatic landscapes of Dartmoor are well worth the trip.

Wherever you want to explore — or celebrate — Harbour Lights puts you right at the heart of it.

Reviews of Harbour Lights

We had an amazing stay at Harbour Lights. It was a great location, only a 10-15 minute walk into Dartmouth town centre with loads of restaurants, cafes and things to do. The dog friendly beach to Slapton Sands is only a 20 minute drive away, and we were delighted with how unique the property was. A great place to visit!

We had the perfect weekend in this house. It was clean and tidy, with loads of space even with 9 people! It is in a lovely location and well worth what we paid for it. Would highly recommend!
Rob
Excellent accommodation for 4 couples, plenty of space for all. All bedrooms of a good size. Pleasant & convenient situation for exploring Dartmouth & surrounding area. Novel interior design. Managed to park 2 smaller cars in garage & one just outside; having parking available was a definite asset. Lots of steps up to house, wasn't a problem to our group. Patio with bbq was a pleasant place to sit in afternoon sun. Would return, thank you Charlotte.

House is immaculate, Charlotte was great at communicating with us during the stay with all our questions, highly recommend and would definitely visit again!

Lovely family weekend with 8 adults and 1 baby. Very well appointed, stylish and comfortable home away from home. Parking for two cars was easy with three possible (we squeezed in four). Beds were huge and better than the ones we had at home. Long table was perfect for family meals and evening games. Loads of room for chilling out as a family. With many steep steps to the front door may be difficult for people with mobility issues or lots of small children. But it was absolutely perfect for us and we really enjoyed it!

Dartmouth is a lovely place for walking with plenty of pubs & restaurants and fascinating history. Harbour Lights is a great base for exploring and had everything we needed, with an interesting and comfortable layout. The 70s decor is spot on! Charlotte was a great host, communicative & helpful. Overall, a fantastic holiday!

This is a great place to stay. The house decor is quirky and fun. Walking distance to the town. It was ideal for 3 people who like plenty of space but would also be perfect for a larger group.
