We are excited to introduce four new properties at West Charleton Grange, nestled within a small, secluded and sheltered valley. The cottages are ideally located for exploring the South Hams, being only one to two minutes from the water’s edge and rarely more than fifteen minutes from the many family friendly beaches on offer in the area. It has everything you need for the perfect family holiday!
West Charleton Grange offers a retreat where guests can relax and enjoy superb on-site facilities including the exclusive use of an indoor swimming pool and short tennis court. Children have access to a dedicated play lawn, with swings, slide, fully furnished Wendy House, sit on tractors, football goal and many other toys to keep them amused.

The Granary sleeps 2 and offers a romantic retreat with breathtaking views and lots of amenities.
Indoor Swimming pool
The indoor heated swimming pool is approximately 10 x 5 metres, heated to a cosy 29.5 degrees. Open 08:00 to 18:00 daily with poolside shower and changing rooms.
The Folly
The Folly can seat up to twenty eight guests and has a large sheltered terrace with seating for a further twelve. Overlooking the main play field and the lake beyond the views are stunning. There is a fully fitted kitchen, fronted by a small bar. Trestle tables and stylish chairs.
For rainy days we have installed a projector and a large drop down screen for the full cinematic experience. Both can be hooked up to a variety of streaming services using our WIFI.
Various events from 21st, 30th, 50th, 80th and 90th Birthdays! naming day celebrations, family/friends gatherings and corporate team building events have been hosted in The Folly. Several caterers work alongside us and we will happily share our contacts to ensure you have a fabulous event whilst staying with us.

Landscaped grounds of 10 acres in a private valley with dry stone walls and terracing enhanced with extensive planting. Sheltered paved terraces with large outdoor sofa, perfect for relaxing whilst the children play in front of you.
There is a gas BBQ on the main terrace, perfect for alfresco dining.
Play area and Activities
Half an acre of grass playfield with a climbing frame with swings, baby swing and slide. Look out tower, firemans pole, rope bridge and mini climbing wall. Large trampoline with full saftey netting.
The play area has a football goal for all grown ups and children to practice their penalties.
A good game of cricket with all generations joining in provides entertainment for all.
The Wendy house on the play field often gets busy with imaginary orders being whisked up in the play kitchen, or creative art easel.
Hula-hoops and ride-ons. Kids den housing ride on pedal tractors
The indoor pool house sits in a walled Victorian garden also enclosing table tennis, short tennis court and basketball hoop.
There are many beaches close by. Bantham Beach, South Milton and Torcross to name but a few!
Activities on the water nearby include surfing, kayaking, sailing, dinghy sailing, windsurfing and power boating. Paddle boarding, diving, kite surfing, coasterring, rib rides, sea safaris, water skiing and wake-boarding. Fishing trips and even yoga on a paddle board!
Try a sailing or power boat course in nearby Salcombe.
For the less active, book afternoon tea on a small launch from Dartmouth, or explore the market town of Kingsbridge.
