Reviews of Creekside

Just what the Dr ordered. We had a wonderful holiday here - a real tonic! A beautiful home from home, our family (mum, dad, 14 & 11 year old boys) came away feeling hugely relaxed. A great base come rain or shine, with everything being close at hand.

We had a lovely week in Salcombe, in a well located property. We chose this property so we could launch our kayak from the garden. It was perfect for this, and all the outside space made it easy to manage all the equipment associated with it. The cottage was well appointed but is of a traditional style without some facilities (en suite) expected in more modern accommodation. A great place to stay if you are into boating with a boat yard next door.

The cottage is really well set up and in a great location. Rebecca responded quickly to any queries prior to arrival. We moored our boat at the end of the garden so were able to find some lovely quiet beaches (For other boat users, worth noting we didn't realise that at low tide the mooring is dry for approx 2 hours either side of low tide but you can get a mooring on a buoy if necessary) We spent most of the week on the sea, Kingsbridge was a lovely boat trip on the rising tide, very pretty and well worth a visit. Bigbury on sea was beautiful and the sea tractor was really fun! The best bit about Salcombe was how dog friendly they are, even the bakery welcomed our soggy spaniel in the mornings when we went to stock up on yummy sour dough bread and croissants. The fish and chips were super scrummy from the takeaway and even offered a vegetarian option. Would definitely recommend this lovely cottage and we hope to return.
