Dartmouth Naval College can be seen on the hill, the view is especially good if you get the passenger or car ferry over to Kingswear on the other side.
The annual Dartmouth Regatta attracts many visitors in August and delivers a party atmosphere with a funfair, street food stalls and the Royal Navy putting on various displays throughout the event. The firework display on the final night is always impressive! The local shops and restaurants are welcoming and the town puts on many events throughout the year.
