There’s something very special when you turn up for the first time at Cable Cottage, you cannot help but feel slightly overwhelmed that you’ve picked the most stunning location in Salcombe. The cottage is picture perfect and the view is out of this world. The anticipation of opening the front door stepping out onto the terrace with North Sands beach a few steps away is beyond exciting. This is what is so remarkable about Cable Cottage, it evokes a certain feeling of joy that is difficult to match.
The interior is equally as impressive, the elegant design with calm coastal colours invigorates and relaxes, giving guests a sense of tranquility. Cable Cottage offers 4 spacious bedrooms, each equipped with it’s own ensuite bathroom. The sea views from the front bedrooms are simply exquisite!
The open plan living is expansive and stylish, yet comfortable and welcoming. The well equipped kitchen provides a social hub, allowing social interaction with the rest of the group whilst cooking. Adjacent to the kitchen and living space is a relaxing snug with an office desk, perfect for those needing a bit of quiet time to touch base with the outside world.
Parking is plentiful with a large private gated driveway and a spacious lawn to the rear of the property.
Enjoy eating Al Fresco on the front terrace or maybe take time to relax on the sun loungers. There really is something special about taking your morning coffee outside and breathing in the salty sea air, it really doesn’t get any better than that!
We do like to be beside the seaside, don’t we? Sweeping sands and long coastal rambles, paddling in the shallows and watching as the children jump over foaming waves…
Family days by the Salcombe seaside are as iconic as Salcombe Dairy ice cream and Cranch’s sweetie bags with which they go hand-in-hand. Where the only thing left on the agenda is to sit back and relax with a chilled glass of wine from the fridge, as children dream of their next day’s adventures and the sun melts into the ocean.
Cable Cottage enjoys a glorious beachside location but is also easily within reach of the many cafes, shops and restaurants, not least the renowned Winking Prawn which is just a few meters away. Salcombe town centre is a short walk away and you can often spot older children wondering up the narrow road into town to enjoy that precious independence that they look forward to on their Devon holiday.
South Sands is a 10 minute walk away, you can catch the tractor ferry into town which is a particular highlight for many.
With the South West Coast Path so close by, take the opportunity to walk in either direction, you won’t be disappointed. The views are absolutely breath taking and will provide an exhilarating day of exploring.
